A bit scary to see serial blasts in places where you’ve spent so much time in the past. I’m confident the people of Bombay will bounce back in no time as they’ve done so many times in the last decade. But you have to wonder why our cities are such easy targets for terrorists. Somehow our intelligence agencies don’t seem to be able to avert enough of these major acts of terror. I don’t want to sound too critical since they do catch activists with RDX and other weapons regularly in big cities. But yet every alternate year without fail we have some huge incident that they’re totally clueless about. Maybe a case of not sufficient manpower to cover a large country like ours.
